Alternative Spring Break
Each year we send a group of students on an alternative spring break trip. Not only does this give our students a mid-semester break from the stress of classes and unpredictable Michigan weather, but it also allows us to make a difference in the lives of those in need.
In the past we have traveled to places like Louisiana, Texas, and South Carolina to take part in missions such as rebuilding homes, painting, and talking with those experiencing poverty or hunger.
This year we are heading to Washington DC for a seminar on immigration with the General Board of Church and Society. We will be leaving on Saturday, March 3rd and returning on the 10th. The cost of the trip will be around $250 with a $50 deposit due by January 31st.
