What We Do
Contemporary Worship Service: TGiT
Our evening worship is called Thank God it’s Thursday and it is a great way launch into the campus weekend. We gather at 8:00 pm, service is about an hour with snack time to follow. Pastor Chu and Wesley Worship Lab design a worship that is thought provoking and engaging. Eric Aten and the praise band offer music that inspires you to get up and dance. Come and join us for TGiT. Stan the Tan Van will pick you up if you need a lift.
Education: Sunday Night Program
Some of the best learning happens around a shared meal. We learn and grow in faith as we prepare and share a meal together. Our time together includes the occasional guest speaker, small group discussions and of course yummy free eats. Come explore your faith, ask questions, and have group discussions as well as just relax and hang out with friends. We gather for the meal preparation at 4:30 pm. The meal is served at 5:30 pm. Stan the Tan Van will pick you up if you need a lift.
Community: Living Lavishly
Even among 50,000 students, campus can seem like a lonely place. Wesley strives a be a community of trust. We are a place where you can share your thoughts on a variety of subjects without fear of judgement. Jesus spent a lot of time connecting people to God and one another in deep and meaningful ways, and this is what Wesley is about. In culture that is familiar to lavish expending of riches, we tend to be a bit stingy when it comes to rich relationships. Wesley Living Lavishly is a program for investment in friendship. Our past lavish fun times have included Laser Tag, Bowling and Zombie Prom.
Service Opportunities
We grow in faith as we engage in acts of mercy and justice. Wesley has a long tradition for mission projects. We have served the poor, hungry and homeless in Lansing, Detroit, Kentucky, Alabama, South Carolina and D.C. Every year we do a Alternative Spring Break in 2012 we traveled to Washington D.C. to learn about the challenges faced by immigrants to the US. We believe that when we serve the least of these we serve Christ.
